Escaping From Myself

During your life, you might have faced a problem from which you wanted to escape at that moment. You might have regarded the problem you were facing as too big, or your very ways of thinking and habits could not be changed easily even though you truly wanted to change. Likewise, thoughts and habits that have been built up while living have made “yourself” and you live in the world of yourself, that is, a frame that you have made. You might have given a thought about ‘why do I react to certain situations with the same ways of thinking and actions as if everything has been already programmed?’ and ‘Why is my life repeating the same pattern all the time?’

That’s why you always search for freedom and blame the situation, the people around you and even the world. However, in fact, the reason why I cannot be free is neither because of some situation nor conditions set by society. Wouldn’t it be because of yourself who is trapped with what you call ‘yourself’?

Don’t you see the world through your narrow mind, in which you cannot understand nor accept what is different from your ways of thinking and habits? Don’t you blame the world while being trapped in that mind? What you merely know is what you have seen, heard and experienced.But you regard that as if it were everything in the world. Humans live their life like that of a fruit fly– for a day – on a tiny dust-like planet, Earth, in this endless, vast Universe. Haven’t you seen the world and blamed everything in your own frame?

Unaware of the fact that you are living inside it and unable to come out from there, you have been endlessly yearning for freedom, haven’t you?

Now, be brave and let go of the existence called ‘yourself’– the existence smaller than dust compared to the infinite Universe, the existence living life in the blink ofan eye. Such a small existence, myself, has been unaware of the true meaning and endlessly running forward. What happens at the end of this momentary life?

Escaping from “yourself” and finding the true you, the everlasting and living truth that is not a dream-like existence that vanishes after a moment. Would there be anything more important than this?

It is such a miracle that you were born in the world and living like this. Rather than vanishing after living within the frame called ‘yourself’, the world of your mind for a moment, everyone must find the truth and live the life as the true self. This is the task that every one of us must accomplish in this generation. Moreover, it would be truly the way to find freedom.

Karma

The mind that thinks;

the mind that loves;

these minds are all man’s thoughts.

All things, including one’s destiny,

rest with his rights and wrongs.

All things are within this,

and in it man cries –

they are his karma.

They are what man needs to live

liberated from.
