Escaping From Myself

While living life, people are always looking to escape from their situation or change something. You may want to truly change, but it seems that the problems you are facing are too big to overcome or the habits and ways of thinking are so fixed that you can’t begin to change them. These thoughts and habits that you have been building up while living have made “yourself” and you live in the world of yourself, that is, a frame that you have made. You might have given a thought about ‘why do I react to certain situations with the same ways of thinking and actions as if everything has already been programmed?’ and ‘Why is my life repeating the same pattern all the time?’

That’s why you always search for freedom and blame situations that you face,the people around you and even the world. However, the reason why you cannot be free is neither because of some certain situations nor conditions of society. Wouldn’t it be because of yourself who is trapped with what you call ‘yourself’?

The problem is that you see the world through a narrow mind, in which you cannot understand nor accept what is different from your ways of thinking and habit.Don’t you blame the world while being trapped in that mind? What you merely know is what you have seen, heard and experienced.But you regard that it is everything of the world. Humans live the moment like the life of a fruit fly– for a day – on a tiny dust-like planet, Earth, in this endless, vast Universe. Haven’t you seen the world and blamed everything in your own frame?

Unaware of the fact that you are living inside of it and unable to come out from there, you have been endlessly yearning for freedom, haven’t you?

Now, be brave and let go of the existence called yourself– the existence smaller than a piece of dust in the infinite Universe, the existence that lives for just a blink of an eye. Such a small existence, myself, has been unaware of the true meaning and endlessly running forward. What is the meaning of the end of the life of something that lives for but a moment?

Is there anything more important than escaping from “yourself” and finding the true you, the everlasting and living truth?

It is such a miracle that you were born in the world and living like this. Rather than vanishing after living within the frame called ‘yourself’, the world of your mind, for a moment, everyone must find the truth and live the life as the true self. This is the task that every one of us must accomplish in this generation. Moreover, it would truly be the way to find freedom.

Karma

The mind that thinks;

the mind that loves;

these minds are all man’s thoughts.

All things, including one’s destiny,

rest with his rights and wrongs.

All things are within this,

and in it man cries –

they are his karma.

They are what man needs to live

liberated from.
