What Is Everlasting In The World?

What is everlasting in this world? Let’s take a look.

The human body lives for seventy to eighty years.

Even the stars floating in the sky
and also the Earth where we are living
will disappear one day.

All of the material things have their own lifespan and one day, they vanish.

Let’s suppose that trillions of years went by
and every creation in the world had used up their lifespan and vanished.

Even though everything disappears from the world,
the emptiness will stay the same, isn’t that right?

Let’s suppose that another trillion years passed in the state
where only emptiness exists.

What would happen to this emptiness?

It will surely stay the same, won’t it?
This emptiness seems to be just empty.

But actually, this existence has the body and mind
just as our human body has body and mind.

And fortunately, this body and mind is actually our true ‘me’.

While we are living,
if we become one with the body and mind of this emptiness that is the truth
and are reborn as the body and mind of this substance of the emptiness,
we, humans, can also exist forever.
